Project Summary for 2000-JD-FX-0001 (S-2)
The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR), through the National Youth Gang Center, will continue to provide training and technical assistance to the Office of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Gang Free Schools and Communities Initiative sites. These efforts will include on-site, remote, and electronic assistance to sites individually and in clusters. Additionally, IIR will initiate regional efforts to train community teams on assessment and implementation processes involved in the OJJDP Comprehensive Gang Model. This effort will include pilot testing of distance learning using the Internet. All training and technical assistance activities will be conducted within the guidelines established by the National Training and Technical Assistance Center's core performance standards.
