Award Information
The Vinton County Juvenile Drug Court will use grant funds to implement a post-adjudication program for nonviolent, substance-abusing juveniles, whose charges are a result of substance use or acquisition. The Vinton County Juvenile Drug Court will serve 125 juvenile offenders ages 8 to 18 and 75 family members annually. The principal goals of the program are to assist drug court clients in successfully adjusting to a crime-free and drug and alcohol-free lifestyle. Services will include outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment, educational classes, a parenting program, and an on-line recovery system.
