The Latino Pastoral Action Center, Inc. (LPAC) serves to address the social, economic, educational and moral problems confronting youth, ages 6-21, in the Southwest Bronx through academic assistance, sports, cultural actvities, recreation, and counseling programs. Several of LPAC's community based programs include: Outreach services for TANF eligible families; college preparatory programing, urban youth fellows leadership; an AmeriCorps site; an afterschool program; civic responsibility; operation of a Charter School, and an urban ministry. LPAC serves some 5,000 community residents per year through its extensive programming efforts. LPAC's Urban Ministry Complex focuses on literacy development, academic enrichment, leadership development, advocacy, recreation, computer literacy, and employment training. The Greater Heights Youth Program is the centerpiece of LPAC's Youth and Young Adults Ministry, targeting 750 youth and young adults, ages 13-24 in Southwest Bronx. NCA/NCF
