The Technical Assistance to the Juvenile Court Project has developed significant staff expertise, services and resources to respond to requests from juvenile and family courts and juvenile probation departments and to address pressing and emerging issues in the field of juvenile justice. Technical assistance provided will be guided by the following objectives:
To provide technical assistance to juvenile justice professionals based on the self-identified need of the practitioner;
To understand technical assistance as both individual case "problem-solving" and pre-planned activity that anticipates and develops resources to respond effectively;
To provide technical assistance that is guided by the expertise of knowledgeable juvenile justice practitioners and supported wherever possible by empirical research;
To provide technical assistance as inexpensively and as quickly as possible; and
To evaluate technical assistance responses to determine their impact.

The Technical Assistance to the Juvenile Court Project has developed significant staff expertise, services and resources to respond to requests from juvenile and family courts and juvenile probation departments and to address pressing and emerging issues in the field. The project's core activities include:
1) Responding to technical assistance requests;
2) Implementing special projects;
3) Updating and expanding the State Juvenile Justice Profiles website;
4) Expanding the Technical Assistance Resource Center (TARC) library and maintaining other databases; and
5) Tracking and evaluating the provision of technical assistance.
