The two priomary goals of this project are to: (1) assist judges who are students in the Judicial Studies Program to continue to participate in courses at the University; and (2) facilitate the establishment of a new degree program in Justice Management that will help both to professionalize different careers in justice related fields, and to train judges who manage courts systems.NCA/NCF

Description
The University of Nevada Reno's Grant Sawyer Center for Justice Studies will provide coursework and assistance to judges in juvenile, family and general court jurisdiction to improve their knowledge and offer a master's degree in judicial studies. The University of Nevada Reno will develop a new course related to children in the courts and will be offered to judges through distant learning technology. The goal is to serve forty six judges and performance will be measured by the number of graduate degrees awarded and the amount of knowledge gained about children's law in the courses.
