Description
In the low-income and violence-prone neighborhoods of South Chicago, the Young Fathers Initiative encourages the positive involvement of young fathers ages 18-30 with their families and communities by decreasing involvement with the criminal justice system, and increasing parenting skills, job readiness, financial literacy, and attachment to the labor force. Metropolitan will report on the number of fathers who obtain jobs and the number of fathers who improve their parenting skills.
The program measures outcomes by the number of participants completing the job development/fathering series and finding employment. NCA/NCF
