Award Information
The Alzheimer's Association Safe Return® program is designed to coordinate and enhance existing community based wanderer services. Safe Return assists families and the Association's chapter network by coordinating identification information in a national registry, providing telephone support and access to enrollee information, and communicating vital information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and medical providers. In addition, the continual production of program identification products, educational materials and programs and a national media campaign have provided essential exposure to Safe Return and the wandering issue.
