Award Information
The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CUIR) plans to provide prevention services to impact risk factors for delinquency and to provide interventions for court-involved tribal youth. The CUIR Tribal Court will serve 30 or more high risk tribal youth ages 9-18 years of age, per year. The project will coordinate Tribal Court intervention efforts and planning with the Nixyaawii Community School and the Yellowhawk Clinic, Behavioral Health Program to provide drug-free activities, school-based interventions, year-round, planning, case management, and development of a 'minor in possession' curriculum. The project will also review and update the Tribal Youth Services Task Forces 2001 Work Plan by enhancing the existing Community Accountability Board and expanding the number of Board members. The tribe will report on mandatory OJJDP Tribal Youth Program performance measures. CA/NCF
