Award Information
The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.
The State of Michigan will fund law enforcement efforts to enforce underage drinking laws while focusing on underage drinking parties, special events and partnerships with retailers; development of a training program for law enforcement officers on controlled dispersal techniques, compliance check best practices and monitoring social networks; and creative ways to publicize the statewide task force enforcement efforts.
