Award Information
Using OJJDP funds, the Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (GEMS) will pay a portion of the salary and benefits for a training coordinator and trainer who will be responsible for providing up to five training events to Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force personnel. GEMS will also create a specific training module on "Understanding the Dynamics of Internet Facilitated Crimes Against Victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Human Trafficking" to be disseminated to the ICAC program. Additionally, GEMS will provide customized trainings and intensive technical assistance for five ICAC Task Forces selected by OJJDP, based on a needs assessment and collaboratively designed TA plan. Finally, GEMS will contract with an independent evaluator to ensure that the training and curriculum are properly evaluated. CA/NCF
