Award Information
The Formula Grants Program is authorized under the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act. The purpose of this program is to support state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice system improvements. Supported activities and efforts may include planning and administration, establishing, operating, coordinating, and evaluating projects directly or through grants and contracts with public and private agencies for the development of more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment, and rehabilitation programs in the area of juvenile delinquency and programs to improve the juvenile justice system as found in section 221 of the JJDP Act.
Utahs FY20 Title II Three-Year Plan incorporates principles of evidence-based, best practices, and data to identify gaps in services and other areas of need. Priority areas include: Juvenile Justice System Improvement, Delinquency Prevention, Disproportionate Minority Contact, State Advisory Group and Indian Tribe Programs.
