OJJDP's Demonstration Programs Division Grants were established to provide grants, cooperative agreements, and other assistance to organizations identified in the Conference Report to accompany the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2010 (Pub. L. 111-117) -- H.R. Conf. Rep. No. 111-366.
Research Triangle International (RTI) will implement the final phase of the Girls Study Group. The Girls Study Group is a multidisciplinary group of scholars and practitioners convened by OJJDP to develop a comprehensive research foundation to further the field's understanding of female juvenile offending. The Girls Study Group also seeks to identify effective strategies to prevent and reduce female involvement in delinquency and violence.
RTI will complete the following four main tasks in the final year of the Girls Study Group: (1) finalizing two remaining Bulletins from the Girls Study Group series; (2) providing follow-up technical assistance to the 10 programs that participated in the OJJDP Girls Study Group Evaluation Technical Assistance Workshop; (3) providing consultation to the National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) in revisions and updates to the online Risk Assessment/Treatment-Focused Instrument Tool for the Girls Study Group; and (4) preparing for project end by migrating the Girls Study Group Web site from the RTI server to the NTTAC server, submitting the Study Group's final report, and initiating a project close-out meeting with the OJJDP project manager.
