During this call held on July 24, 2024, Administrator Ryan discussed how the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act has successfully guided states toward more developmentally appropriate and less punitive approaches to juvenile justice.
With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support nonprofit organizations and local public agencies in the following nonparticipating states: Texas and Wyoming, for the purposes of carrying out activities of the kinds described in the core requirements under the Act (34 U.S.C. § 11133(11), (12), (13), and (15).
With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support states and territories to plan, establish, operate, coordinate, and evaluate policies and projects, directly or through grants and contracts with private nonprofit and public agencies, for the development of more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment, and rehabilitation programs in the area of youth delinquency as well as juvenile justice system improvement efforts.
