Interviewing Children with Disabilities Webinar

Prosecutors and other multidisciplinary team professionals charged with interviewing children for alleged abuse are likely to encounter children with developmental disabilities or other special needs. In this webinar that was held November 30, 2022, rates of victimization of children with special needs were provided and factors that increase risk of abuse for children with disabilities were discussed.

Bureau of Justice Statistics Releases Report on Sexual Victimization in Juvenile Facilities

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) has released Facility Characteristics of Sexual Victimization of Youth in Juvenile Facilities, 2018 – Statistical Tables. The report presents statistical tables of youth-reported sexual victimization rates by juvenile facility characteristics, including organizational structure, staff, and atmosphere.
